Welcome to the Hardware Computer Forum. This community is dedicated to discussing computer hardware, troubleshooting issues, performance optimization, repairs, upgrades, and industry news. To keep discussions useful, accurate, and respectful, all members must follow the rules and guidelines below.

Core Rules

1. Respectful and Professional Conduct

All members must treat others with respect. Personal attacks, insults, harassment, ridicule, intimidation, hate speech, or hostile behavior are strictly prohibited. Disagreements are allowed, but they must remain technical, factual, and professional.

2. Hardware-Focused Content Only

Posts must be directly related to computer hardware. This includes CPUs, GPUs, motherboards, RAM, storage devices, power supplies, cooling solutions, peripherals, servers, networking hardware, embedded systems, and electronics closely related to computing hardware. Software-only discussions should be limited to how software directly affects hardware behavior or performance.

3. Accurate and Honest Information

Do not intentionally spread misinformation. If you are unsure about technical details, state that clearly. When giving advice related to hardware installation, overclocking, voltage modification, or repairs, be precise and honest about risks.

4. No Dangerous or Irresponsible Advice

Instructions that may cause physical harm, electrical hazards, fire risks, or severe equipment damage must include proper warnings. Advice that is clearly reckless or unsafe may be removed by moderators.

5. No Spam or Low-Effort Content

Spam, affiliate links, referral codes, excessive self-promotion, and automated content are not allowed. Low-effort posts such as one-line questions without context, vague titles, or duplicate posts may be removed.

6. No Piracy or Illegal Content

Do not post or request pirated firmware, cracked software, stolen hardware guides, serial numbers, or instructions that facilitate illegal activity. This includes bypassing DRM, security features, or hardware locks.

7. Privacy and Security

Do not post personal information, including serial numbers, MAC addresses, purchase receipts, private emails, or identifiable images unless necessary and properly redacted. Respect the privacy and security of others at all times.

8. One Account Per User

Creating multiple accounts to evade bans, manipulate discussions, or mislead other members is prohibited and may result in permanent suspension.

9. Moderator Authority

Moderators may edit, move, lock, or remove content that violates forum rules. Moderator decisions are final. Concerns or appeals should be handled privately through official channels.

Posting Guidelines

Use Clear and Descriptive Titles

Thread titles should accurately describe the hardware issue or topic (e.g., “RTX 4070 Crashing Under Load” instead of “Help Please”). Misleading or vague titles may be edited or removed.

Provide Full Hardware Specifications

When asking for help, include complete system specifications whenever possible:

  • CPU
  • GPU
  • Motherboard
  • RAM (capacity, speed, configuration)
  • Storage devices
  • Power supply (brand and wattage)
  • Cooling solution
  • Case
  • Operating system

Incomplete system information may delay or prevent useful responses.
